The other thing that struck me is that we quite often put weakened teams out and through cup games away when to be honest I would love to see a manager go hell for leather in the cups and not worry about our precious PL status for once. We can't win the PL so the tactic of not trying to win the cups is simply illogical to me.

No it isn't. Look at history. Only 3 times in the last 20 years has a so-called "top 6 club" not won the FA Cup. I'm not saying we can't win, just that the probability is high that we won't.

Struck me last night how bad our luck is at cup draws. In the last season at the Boleyn we get into the quarter final and not only get Man U but get Man U away. This season one home draw out of five (that we had to play away) and again we manage to beat Spurs and then the behind closed doors draw we get Arsenal, and Arsenal away. The other thing that struck me is that we quite often put weakened teams out and through cup games away when to be honest I would love to see a manager go hell for leather in the cups and not worry about our precious PL status for once. We can't win the PL so the tactic of not trying to win the cups is simply illogical to me. It is pretty much saying, come and pay your money people and we guarantee we won't ever win another trophy. The PL is where our owners make the most the money so I guess there lies the answer.

Shame it weren't Millwall at home, I like the authorities to have to work for it. Wonder what the attendance would ave been - biggest we've had against them?

If we beat Shrewsbury then I hope we are at Wigan. I’ve seen us beat Bournemouth away but have never seen us win at Wigan. , A win there is well overdue for me, especially after the wild celebrations after they put us down in 2012.

Can anyone explain the draw of Blackpool?

I've never been.

I mean, every time the "Illuminations" are mentioned, there seems to be a nudge and a guffaw.

What allocation are we likely to get it we draw Bournemouth?

Roy refuses to be involved in the draw until Wolverhampton Wanderers and Wycombe Wanderers are both safely out.

Unless Roy Hodgson had done the draw, of course

How disappointing.

If only Wolverhampton Wanderers had drawn with Wigan in the last round, then we'd have the maximum number of Ws in our draw.

Shit draw but a trip up north would be decent enough.

Away draw? What a massive rarity and surprise...

I make that five draws this season, of which we’ve been drawn at home once.
